Vampire Thralls are recently-turned Vampires who have sought out a mentor, usually the Vampire who created them, to learn some measure of self-control and to understand their limitations and powers as a creature of the night. Vampire Thralls rarely drift far from their mentors and advisors, since these more powerful Vampires protect them from Vampire hunters and other enemies of the Undead.[1a]
Vampires need a regular supply of fresh Human blood to stay alive like all of their foul kind. However, only the youngest need to feed every day. It takes discipline and resolve to control the Vampire's hunger for blood, and the eldest and most powerful Vampires can master their impulses.[1b]
