Heldenhame Keep is the fortress of the Knights of Sigmar's Blood, founded seven ceturies earlier after the order returned from the Arabyan Crusades enriched by its plunder. Originally merely a modest bastion, the fortress grew to new magnificence with the renown gathered by the Knights, with further extensions being made until Heldenhame had become the grandest fortress in Talabecland, surrounded by a bustling city and gate houses that stood far taller and more intimidating than the long-vanished keep from whence the name Heldenhame had sprung.[1c] The armur of Nagash, Morikhane, was stored within the vaults of the fortress.[1c]
During the End Times, the knights were led by the brother of the Averland Elector Count, Grand Master Hans Leitdorf. The current occupant, Commandant Otto Kross was the local power behind the fortress.[1b]
