Not to be confused with Siegfried the Lawgiver.

Siegfried I was a particularly bellicose and corrupt emperor of the Empire of Man who ruled from the city of Altdorf during the 8th century IC. Not much was known about Siegfried during his time, but all remember him as one of the few known emperors to have ridden a Dragon in battle before he was killed by his mount in the Battle of Fates in 732 IC.[1a][2a]

To this day, his heraldry, the knightly helm with crown, has been associated with emperors since the days of Siegfried's own rule. The current Imperial ruling dynasty, House Holswig-Schliestein, has incorporated it into their own heraldry.[1a]

Canon Conflict[]

Although Siegfried's ordinal indicates that he was the first of his name to rule as emperor, other sources list another Siegfried, Siegfried the Lawgiver, who ruled two centuries before Siegfried I.
