Theoderic Gausser or known more formally as Elector Count Theoderic Gausser, Grand Baron of Nordland, Prince of Salzenmund, Lord of Laurelorn, Duke of Marienburg, and Terror of the Norscans is the current Elector Count of Nordland and a fearsome warrior-lord who embodies his people's tenacity and war-like nature to its very core. As Elector Count, he also holds the title of Prince of Marienburg, however he is forbidden to enter the city on pain of death.[1a]
Gausser was known to be a warlike man, whose territorial ambitions against the neighboring province of Hochland threatened to turn into civil war. At the order of Emperor Karl Franz, the Gold Wizard Balthasar Gelt stopped him from doing so by turning the complete amassed gold in the vaults of Theoderic Gausser's castle to lead, which made it impossible for the Elector Count to pay the mercenaries he had employed.[2a]
